Sunday Morning Bible Study

Pastor Sue Sauerberg is conducting the Bible Study in the church library every Sunday, beginning on September 12th, at 9am.  No previous Bible study experience is necessary. Our small group is all about studying and learning together.

After reading a Chapter together, we have a discussion and attempt to answer the following three questions.

1) What was God saying here?
2) What is God saying to me personally?
3) What is God saying to our church, community?

Through discussion we can develop a personal understanding of what we are interpreting the scriptures to mean and how it applies to us and the world around us.

You will be exploring the scriptures of the day's lectionary and gain some historical background information on the Gospel. How does your reading of the scriptures compare with the message you hear in worship? You tell us, after attending this very enlightening Bible Study.

How do I learn which Psalms I might turn to in different times of my life? How can I read the psalms when they talk about armies and kings, when I have nothing in my life to relate to it?
