Bible Break In

Remember that new Bible that was given to you as a kid? Do you remember opening it up and looking at the clean, crisp pages full of black and red type?

Presenting new Bibles to children has been a long held tradition in most faiths. It’s just in the past few years that we’ve realized that the crisp, new Bibles aren’t really the best ones to give to kids.

Bible Adventures is a way for parents and family members to share in the adventure of discovering the Bible with their children.

Here's how it girl_reading_bible.jpgworks:

Friday Sept. 10th, from 5:30pm-8:30pm, 4th and 5th graders will come with their families and receive Spark Study Bibles. Parents spend time with their kids and go over favorite verses and learn how to use their Bibles. Discussions and games will reinforce knowledge and memory of Bible verses.

It’s kind of like the equivalent of receiving a handmade card from your child, rather than one from the card rack at the grocery store. They both say the same things, but the one made by your child is so much more special.
