What happens with you combine high school youth grou NeW LyF kids learn more about their faith and the faith of others through a mixture of worship and social events, music, mission trips and traveling once a year to events like the High Adventure Trips, and the National Youth Gathering. Mission Trips: NeW LYf'ers have traveled to many small towns across the U.S. to repair and rebuild homes, schools and churches destroyed by natural disasters, such as hurricanes, floods and tornadoes. Mission trips have included volunteering in Montgomery, West Virginia, Grand Rapids, Michigan, Utah and Iowa communities, Rushville Indiana and New Orleans.
TFCs: NeW LYF Director Scott Hotaling meets with the high school group two or three times each month (so far always on a Sunday afternoon) to evaluate past events, brainstorm ideas for upcoming events & generally keep momentum moving forward. (There is also a lot of laughter, snacks & the occasional digression).
TFCs - Task Force Christ are open to anyone who wants to have input into what NeW LYF does. There is honest communication, discussion and occasional disagreements. But we always get a lot accomplished and have a great time. If you are interested in being a part of TFC, please email Scott at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
