 Retreats are a big part of Middle School Ministries. It's a chance to get away from the hectic pace of a kid's life and focus on spiritual issues, building faith, forming friendships, worshipping God and learning about issues of interest to Middle Schoolers.

Middle School Ministries also goes on field trips to museums, visits other churches and goes on ski trips. These trips and retreats allow the kids to form a faith-based support group that will be with them throughout middle school and their high school years.

Weekend Worship Extravaganza--April 16-18
We will attend worship at a number of religious institutions in the area, comparing similarities and differences and learning why people worship and the meaning behind the various things they do. This will help you know how some of the ways some of your friends and acquaintances may worship so you can have a better understanding of them.

6:30-7:00 pm Travel to Congregation Beth Sahlom
7:00 - 8:00 pm Orientation to Synogogue
8:00 pm-9:00 pm Attend Congregation Beth Shalom
9:00-9:15 pm Refreshments
9:15-9:45 pm Return to CLC
Saturday:
9:15 am Meet at CLC
9:15-9:45 Travel to Hindu Temple of Greater Chicago
10:00 - 11:00 Tour the Hindu Temple of Greater Chicago
11:00 - 11:30 Travel to CLC
11:30 - 11:50 Eat Lunch at Church
12:00 - 2:30pm Worship Workshop Lunch, Free time
2:30 - 4:30 Free time (Go Home, work on Homework, Go to a park, etc.)
4:30 - 4:50 Travel to St. Peter & Paul Orthodox

6:45 - 7:00 Travel to MECCA
7:30 - 8:00 Muslim Prayer at MECCA (Muslim Educational & Cultural Center of America)
